#5 Prioritisation

Here we come to our third technique in the mini series The Bare Minimum You Need To Know To Be An Adequate Manager.

Prioritisation is how you regain sanity over your schedule. Before you became a manager, you were likely an individual contributor — meaning your day consisted on heads down work: be it on code, design, or marketing.

When you become a manager, your schedule fractures. It gets sliced up into a million tiny pieces! Learning to prioritise which task is important and which task isn't becomes hugely important to maintaining your sanity as a manager.
